Octopath Traveler is a fantastic game with tons of fun subsystems and clever tweaks to the classic JRPG formula, but by far the best feature is the ability to press-gang any random townsperson into your party and drag them away from their mundane life, revealing their heretofore unseen supernatural talents, only to then abandon them in the middle of a dungeon when they've run out of charges. Nearly everyone in this game is a secret badass, it seriously never gets old.
