Hello! We hope your August is positively spiffing. New AAO is a week away, and we are absolutely, for sure, 100% calm about that. We hope you enjoy the new chapter teaser/cover page. We had so much fun designing it.
We have an announcement pertaining to the weekly comic that sounds big, but really nothing is changing.
See this handsome fella? Yes, the one getting bird smooches. His name is Adam. He is a brilliant artist, he has a smile to rival the sunshine, and he is one of the funniest people in the room. Any room. He's also my husband and best friend.
I'm 13 episodes in, and I'm pretty sure Star Trek Voyager is not as good as Next Gen and DS9. But the Beowulf holodek episode is really fun. You guys remember when they couldn't replicate new lungs for Neelix because it was too complex but then the next episode they replicated brain tissue and then resurrected a dead alien from a race Voyager'd never even encountered before?
OUR TWITTER IS BACK UP AND RUNNING! HOORAY!
Greetings from the harsh northern wilderness! We've, tragically, been unable to cobble together a weekly comic in the midst of our foraging and fending off black bears. Rest assured, we'll be back up and running next week, provided we survive the elements. I mean, I've only had ice cream once so far. And we haven't even bought any fudge yet. I need at least 5 bricks if I'm going to last the winter.
Here we are again, beautiful readers (or, Jerry. Hi Jerry).
Sorry this one didn't release with the comic at 1. I was snoozing, and my better half forgot to wake me up. I crossed that woeful threshold where a power nap becomes a second sleep. Or a second dream.
Happy Wednesday, doves. April is positively careening towards May, so we're firing on all cylinders to churn out the rest of the month's content (ugh, I hate that word). The funny thing is, we realized something about this job that would've made childhood Erin and Adam very happy. We realized that producing these weekly comics requires us to play current video games. Like, we need to purchase and play games to actually do our jobs and be relevant and all that nonsense. I mean, there's only so much mileage we can get out of the Mass Effect franchise (heads up new Mass Effect comic next week btw).
Welcome, one and all, to another Wednesday evening. Our fourth daily episode of The Great British Baking Show is just wrapping up. Adam's shading and filling and agonizing and rallying. I'm skyping color and garment samples to him whilst cobbling together this blog. All in a few days' work, right?
Oh, side note, we have a podcast now. Go here, if you'd like to hear us embarrass ourselves for an hour: TRICKSY WIZARD - SOUNDCLOUD
Anyway what were we talking about? Oh yeah, the comic.
Warframe really is the gift that keeps on giving. It's one of the reasons we haven't caved and bought a Nintendo Switch yet. Wells Fargo is another reason (as referenced by last week's strip).
So this is what a milestone feels like.
The first pages of our graphic novel "Alive, Alive Oh!" are up on the site at last. Secretly they've been up for two days already, but that was back when we were calling the book by its working title "Wayfarers".
